Supreme Court appoints three to District Magistrate Judges Certification Committee

TOPEKA—The Kansas Supreme Court appointed three new members to the District Magistrate Judges Certification Committee.

Members appointed to serve through June 30, 2026, are:

• District Magistrate Judge Jenifer Ashford, 10th Judicial District, which is Johnson County

• District Magistrate Judge Guy Steier, 12th Judicial District, serving in Cloud County

District Magistrate Judge Ronald Sylvester, who serves in Kingman County of the 30th Judicial District, was appointed to fill an unexpired term that ends June 30, 2024.

Magistrate judges who are not licensed attorneys must complete a certification program overseen by the Supreme Court. The committee oversees this certification.
