TOPEKA—Offices of the 10th Judicial District will be closed and there will be no remote hearings Thursday, December 31, to allow for the move to a new courthouse.

The 10th Judicial District is composed of Johnson County.

Offices also will be closed Friday, January 1, for the New Year's Day holiday.

Beginning Monday, January 4, court offices and courtrooms will operate from the new courthouse but remain closed to in-person contact. All hearings will continue to be held by videoconference until local public health conditions improve.

The clerk of the district court, court services, and court trustee offices are not currently providing in-person service but will continue to be available by telephone, email, fax, and videoconference. The court will provide a minimum two weeks’ notice before resuming any in-person services at the new courthouse.

The old courthouse at 100 N. Kansas Ave., Olathe, will permanently close December 31.
