TOPEKA—The Supreme Court announced today that it has changed the day two cases will be heard on next week's docket.

The court is scheduled to hear cases Monday through Friday next week in its courtroom in the Kansas Judicial Center in Topeka.

Two of three cases scheduled Monday, December 12, will now be heard Friday, December 16.

The cases moved from Monday to Friday are:

  • Appeal No. 111,698: State of Kansas v. David Lee Ryce

  • Appeal No. 111,401: State of Kansas v. Gregory Michael Nece

The two cases will be heard after a death penalty case already scheduled at 9 a.m. Friday, December 16.

  • Appeal No. 106,981: State of Kansas v. James K. Kahler
