TOPEKA—The names of 26 attorneys were submitted by the noon Monday deadline to fill the newly created 12th position on the Court of Appeals. The position was created by the Legislature effective January 1, 2005.
The Supreme Court Nominating Commission will conduct interviews and submit the names of three persons to the governor on November 1. The governor will then have 60 days in which to make the appointment.
